Trading Websites
Explore! There are a great many trading websites in the world. One of our personal favorites is highlighted below, but it is specific to a particular type of media. There's probably a trading site for just about everything. If you find a good one, let us know and we'll include it here!
Swaptree
Swaptree.com is a wonder trading site where folks can swap their books, dvds, CDs and games. There's no cost - you just ship to the other party.
Roshan Searcy, one of Bartering in Motion's founding members, was involved with Swaptree from its Beta Launching period in early 2007. She's completed over 230 trades (and counting!). Often her trades are a book for a DVD, or a book for a computer game. Great, isn't it?
Swaptree is great for families - when one is done with a particular book or movie, you can swap it and get another. And it's a lot of fun getting packages in the mail!
If you're interested in giving it a try, visit www.swaptree.com. When signing up, if it asks you for a referral code, Roshan encourages you to provide her email, nygibs@gmail.com. She'll get brownie points, and so will you. You might even end up in a trade with her!
Roshan went a step further though, and printed her own Swaptree referral cards to give to other folks with the Swaptree web address. You can make them too - the Photoshop template is included below.

You can put more information on the back of the card too. Suggestions include your other favorite online swapping sites (Like Paperbackswap.com or Bookmooch.com) or other bartering or trading ideas you'd like to share with others. Include one every time you ship out a book, movie, dvd... or when you meet folks in bartering seminars, in thrift stores, off Freecycle.. spread the word!
